CLAYTON, N.Y.  —  Ronald W. Dillon Sr., 59, died Wednesday afternoon at Samaritan Medical Center where he had been a patient since April 15.The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at the First Baptist Church of the Thousand Isles with the Rev. James Lewis, pastor, officiating. Burial with military honors provided by Fort Drum will be in Clayton Cemetery.  At the time of his death, Mr. Dillon worked at Westelcom in Watertown for ten years. Previous to that he was the owner and operator of Clayton Bowling Center from 1991 to 1998.  Born Nov. 14, 1948, in Omaha, Neb., son of James and Cora Yates Dillon, he graduated from Plattsmouth High School in Nebraska. He graduated in 1980 from the University of Maryland, with an associate’s degree in business management. He joined the Army in 1970 and was honorably discharged Dec. 31, 1991, at the rank of master sergeant. Having served overseas for eleven of the twenty-one years, he received various accommodations and medals.  

He enjoyed computers and bowling.  

He married the Mary Day on Oct. 30, 1974, in South Carolina.  

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Ronald Jr., Belleview, Neb., and Kenneth, Clayton; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Schroeder, Cape Vincent, and Elaine and David Foster, Clayton; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Paul, Watertown, South Dakota, Doug, Plattsmouth Neb., and Jack, Kansas City, Kan; two sisters, Ruby Schmidt, Omaha, Neb., and Zella Block, Plattsmouth, Neb.; nieces and nephews. 

A brother, Roy, died before him.
